How would you react if someone scolded your child for misbehaving?

If your kid was being a loud spoiled brat mouthing off and screaming at the top of his lungs he just has to have that new game or he hates and and all of a sudden nearly out of thin air a stranger walks up, tells your kid shut up and respect their parents otherwise at one point you'll snap and teach them discipline. What would happen?

I wouldn't mind if they did it the right way that taught a lesson.
Kids listen well to other adults while in trouble, and usually never forget it either.

Stupid choices.

I scolded a child in the neighborhood a few months back. He had it coming.

He had a habit of screaming like he'd fallen on a sharp rock and was in serious pain. He did this habitually. It was very disconcerting and irritating to hear the child do this for several minutes on end.

His mother obviously had heard him do it many times but did nothing about it. So one day he was near my place and was doing it again.

I told him in no uncertain words to knock it off. I said something like, "That voice! Knock it off!"

He hasn't done it since even one time..

Damn right, whatever happened to kids being disciplined, I remember my mother put me in time outs sometimes, now this may sound week but I swear I was rooted to the spot because I knew if I got the gall to step away from that corner the belt would be brought out.

If I got in trouble in school where they had to paddle me I would get another one when I got home. Kids don't get discipline anymore schools have taught kids today that if Mommy or Daddy punishes you then you coma to us, and they'll go to jail?

Exactly, I do not believe a child should be abused but in no way is discipline abuse towards the child, if anything you're doing your best to make them a respectable adult.

I wouldn't have a problem with. If I hadn't gotten there first then hey if the kid is misbehaving then they need to be told to be quiet. In this scenario the person says to respect the parent so obvious the parents aren't real reasonable themselves, and no just being kids is not an excuse to be rowdy in public.
