How would you justify the sentence of a 13 yr old girl for bringing cell phone to school and getting 90 lashes?

Scott, You are 16 years old, right? Believe me most people here are twice or more of your age and we all have lived and experienced islam to much greater degree than you even if you were muslim all your life which I doubt. From your recitation of islamic talking points straight from "Islam for dummies" book I get the impression that you either already converted or on the way to it. If you grow up and still retain some ability for critical thinking you will come to the same conclusions that so many ex muslims came to. Islam is cult of death. Just look at those maniacs who drove the planes into the buildings in New York, blew up commuter train in Madrid and Subway in London. The same kind of lunatics took children in Russian school hostage and massacred them all in the name of Allah.
If you are a muslim or not, this should educate you why so many grown ups oppose islam: I vouch that it is all true.

Tis is great post. I was reading it and kind giving mental check-marks if it applies to islam. All of the characteristics apply to islam without exceptions. Thus islam is indeed a cult, not a religion.

It's way out of proportion, what she did wasn't worth a punishment that's so excessive..
I don't even think she needed to be punished for it, I mean you could just tell her she should not bring her phone to school aymore.. Or take her phone away for the day..

I'd almost bet the girl's phone rang in the middle of class. She should have had it turned off. I do agree however, that the punishment was more than extreme.

90 lashes is a little harsh, but I don't think cell phones in schools should be allowed out of ones bag or locker while in class.....maybe have the parents take the phone away and have the girl go to school without it for a while...like the good ole days!
