How old were you when you first moved out on your own? This means no roommate(s) gf or bf just you. And paying a your own bills.

When I turned 18 I was given one month to move out or be kicked out.

I have been on my own ever since - but not alone, 4 years later I married my current wife of 43 years

When I joined the Army back in 1967, the most prevalent comment made was: There are two kinds of people...the quick and the dead. You had to stay on your toes...you did not want to come in last in anything, you learned to be a man and an adult...but then you knew back then that you were facing a 95% chance of going to war in Vietnam...
After joining the Army....homelife seemed like a "cakewalk" in comparison.
