My husband and I don't exchange gifts for any occasion. We both buy what we want, when we want it. He treats me great 365 days of the year and that is how you show love, not some mandated gift on a certain day.

That's what we figured, it all comes out of the same pot, mights well be something we both want but wouldn't normally just go out and buy.

We normally go out to dinner or something like that. For us it is more about spending time together without the kiddos. Since we both work such odd hours we don't get to spend much time alone.
