With AARP (through The Hartford) I get a good deal on home as well as car insurance (http://aarp.thehartford.com/... After two claims being sorted well, my faith in insurance companies has gradually started building up again :).

I pay way too much for car insurance. I am in Las Vegas and the costs here for car insurance seem awfully high and unfair. I my car is 22 years old. I keep ONLY the state requirement ins. and drive very little, even below the lowest option on the application. To boot I've never had an accident and the last ticket I had was about 30 years ago. I pay roughly $60. a month. DISGUSTING!!!!

ALL (without exception) Insurance is a rip off. Legal gambling. Your premiums are you wager. You bet you will and they bet you won't... or was that versa visa...Hmmm.. I got a headache... :)

And to top it off, ALL (without exception) Insurance, is based on your CREDIT SCORE (??????). I have no accidents, no tickets, but because of the recent depression.. I squeak alittle. What does my credit score have to do with my driving abilities. See, playing the odds.. gambling... I know.. your gonna say its revivent to payment. So i'm saying if one has a GOOD credit score, does that nessaserily mean one will pay thier bill or a poor score means one will not pay the bill? POOP! who ever has insuancee, HOW LONG would it take to close your insuance for nonpayment - NO GRACE PERIOD -right away! SOOOO if they have that power, why credit score again???????????? ummm POOOOP AGAIN... I am drowning in POOP... help me..... LOL

The "credit rating" it is a ploy in my mind. It is a gimmic to further regulate and control Everything we do. It acts like a report card and the grades aren't good Big Brother in one way or another punishes you.

Remember when you were a kid and you got a report card? Well that's what the credit score is...a report card.

Protectionism, ALL Insurance is a rip off. Our great and lovely and loving government Makes you buy car insurance. Now you will have to buy health insurance. Next you will have to buy life insurance and the government will be the beneficiary.

your right, but with the NWO on our heals, America won't be the same in 5-10 years sad to say. Won't need insurance... we will be so poor won't be able to afford it... but the ricch will be richer... Sigh....

Basically it is no different then way Capone did. His guys visited shops and sold them "insurance" against being robbed or worse. By buying insurance, maybe not health as much, we are paying in advance for a "possibility." If that possiblity never comes we don't get our money back. If it does, our rates go up or we get dropped. You got it, it's a rip off.

It likely depends on where you live and what the crime rate or accident rate is there. I am in LAS VEGAS... Need I say more???

if you're looking for a good insurance company, ask your trusted autobody who they recommend. after all you're buying a promise. autobody's deal with insurance companies keeping their promises (or not) every day

I pay about 400 a month. That’s for 9 cars & a bullet bike. 4 of those are old classics that only come out in the summer, and then it’s a little more. My son had an accident last month and it seemed though I was their worst enemy. As soon as the hummer is fixed I’m changing to another Ins. Their lose.

Answers to your question don't mean much unless your know the type of coverage, limits, value of car, sex, marital status and driving record. Insurance companies base the rate you pay on all those things - and more.

I think it fraud! it's a rip off! especially paying high deductable to cut cost in monthly preminums in no fault states. Mercy if you don't know who caused damages to your vehicle you must pay after all the money spent on preminum. Go figure!

I guess my insurance is fine and I don't pay alot as I have my renters insurance with the same company, but I really wish I could get some kind of reward for not having any tickets or accidents in over 30 years. Since I was also a professional driver for about 10 of those years.

$88 a month, full coverage on my car. I think that is too much considering I have a clean driving record for the last 13 years!! And I can't find a cheaper rate without going online and not know who is covering your rear end!:-)

Well, I pay about $60 for ONLY what the state requires and it's on a 22 year old car. So the area is likely what makes the difference.

$64 for full coverage for my 2006 Pt Cruiser. Haven't had any accidents or tickets. I don't know if turning 21 had anything to do with it but it went down. It is through State Farm.

i dont have a car & i dont drive but 2 things that i cant stand is the bank & insurance companies! my partner had 1 major accident, not his fault, since last august and we r still going thru it all but he was paying $41.00 a month liability just for himself & he has a good decent record. truth be told he is one of thee best drivers i know...! but i bet most of them are a bunch of rip-offs thats y people need 2 shop around & we all need insurance because i think the consequences of not having it is too risky & more costly if sumthin does happen.

Was 500.00 for two cars but they don't want to renew me since I can't put my
kids on the policy. They don't drive my car, so why should I have to put them
    there? I'll looking elsewhere.

You can get around that by having them surrender their license. All insurance companies will need to rate young drivers. They're the ones having most of the accidents.

How will the ins co know or how to prove my kids surrender their license? I
know they'll want proof like with their addresses they wanted. It could be
    different in CA too.

You'll receive a document from your state DMV or state agency that regulates driving licenses.
