Depends with me. If I am very close to the person and have been for years, yes one second chance. If I do not know you well; no second chance since I didn't really care for you in the first place.

We all make mistakes and everyone should be given more than one chance to redeem themselves. People tend to forget the good things people have done in their lives and only concentrate on one or two stupid mistakes That's what life is all about, loving and forgiving.

Depends on the situation though, someone goes on a mass killing spree and rapes innocent woman and children, I'd say that's their one chance gone. But someone gets drunk and hooks up with someone else while in a relationship, I'd say that's a honest mistake, a very stupid one, but still a mistake. And if you value the relationship, you'd give them another chance.

"Chances" are for children. An adult gets one chance. If they blow it, then they should suffer the consequences. Not to say the consequences should be equally harsh the 1st time you screw up vs. the 37th time. I am saying that failure needs consequences.

It depends on what they did. if they killed their child or something like that than they deserve no chance. If they dropped dinner all over the floor or drove your car into the ditch they deserve a second mistake
