I had an incident in high school where I landed hard on my elbow on a wooden basketball/volleyball court, but I didn't need any treatment.
outch
1st time-car accident, in my late 20's, hit head on and broke two bones in my foot, maybe from pressing the brake. I was unconscious for about a half hour and don't remember much about it.
2nd time-1993 my husband (then) and I were bike riding on the New River Trail in Virginia. I was going through two poles, slowly, lost my balance and fell (my stupid hiking boots were caught in the toe clips. I literally broke my pinky in half. It was sticking straight out. Perpendicular, ouch. I had to ride about 12 miles on my bike in that condition. Then a 2-hour car ride home.
3rd time-Feb. 2009 walking my doberman on a particularly beautiful feb. day. I knew I had to spend some quality time outside (bad idea). So I take my dobie for a walk. She either gets her nail stuck in the crack of the sidewalk or freaked out when cars going by but she knocked me down. I went to the doctor the next day and was told I had a clean break near the knuckle (my right ring finger) but to go to the specialist. Went to the specialist, it was not a clean break but was broken at the knuckle. They put in a pin but I still have much mobility. I know, too much information, but what can I say? I'm bored.
Here's how:
