My first love ever took almost 2 years. A year seriously was crying myself to sleep every night. Then, in college, this fling turned into a relationship and then after he graduated he up and left one day and I had no idea how much I had fallen for him. Getting over him took 8 months just about.

It's funny in a weird way because other boyfriends that have either broken up with me or vice versa I had no crying or sadness or anything. Those 2 just hit me really hard.. :-/

I have an ex, and she got married to someone else, and I got married to someone else.

But I'm still not over her. Were we to meet, there would be some fireworks, so I guess it's better if we don't meet.

It wasn't a boyfriend. I had a hardcore crush on a guy. But IDK how long it took me to get over him. It felt like an eternity. But I don't remember. That was so long ago. I was like, 15.

I started dating after about 8 months, but wasn't really open to a relationship for about 18 months... it takes time for me to process and let go of any residual behaviors or emotions i guess.... I can't just jump from partner to partner; at least not if there is to be any substance or content to the relationship.....

my exhusband and i were together for 12 years.
even though i'm the instigator of the break up, it still hurt... and i guess a part of me will always care for him even though he's been a complete ass to me since we split. he's the father of my children and we shared a large part of our lives together, don't see how that would be a quick or easy thing to get over.
but time heals all... and it's been 9 years now.
i've found another love and so has he.
i wish him well and happiness.
