I'm not capable of feeling hunger, so I have to compensate.
My meals are made at 800 calories with the proper mix of nutrients, and there's nothing I can't eat in them.
When I do remember to eat something, I grab one out of the freezer and put it in the microwave, before I can forget again.

this is an excellent question actually!! I think about this alot as a paycheck to paychecker with my roommate lol,, and I always joke with him that if our budget came up short for food, that I would last a lot longer than him as skinny as my ass is haha! I think if u include after midnight as same day, then I eat exactly and only twice a day,,that's it,, maybe snack on a few chips or something in evening before I come home from work, but for meals,, 2 times a day period,, and the early mid day meal is usually light anyway cuz I still have to work and don't wanna be passin out from the food hangover like alot of people lol! I know how to stretch food,, learned that long ago in college,,np ;)

If you are talking strictly "leftovers" there is usually something in there. Of course unless you are already going hungry nobody is going to starve to death in under a week.

I always pick a day of teh week to eat left overs so with a family of 4 they are gone quickly more often they are gone teh next day as they get taken as lunch sooooo... waste not want not.

There is a bowl of leftover sauce from when we made tacos. That's the only leftovers in there. I wanted to use it to make nachos for lunch but bf isn't interested, so I guess it will end up in the bin.

That would be pushing it ! The only time it would be longer is if I had just made spaghetti. I cook two pounds and it usually lasts about a week !

my kids have hearty appetites and I only cook portions that I know will get eaten. Holidays being an exception. I can eat leftover turkey until I have feathers growing under my armpits.
