How does Racism affect y'all?

I absolutely detest Racism!!! with a Purple Passion. I live not to far from a Nazi supporter and if the truth be known, he drives down the road mocking our neighbors, who are from Mexico and Japan. They have called the Cops several times, but the Cops seem to shine them off and pass down the road.So what is your opinion on Racism in this country and how it affects y'all?

No-one has ever said or done anything directly racist towards me but if they did I think I would just try and take it on the chin but I would be pretty damn offended. It would depend on what the insult was.

I actually have to avoid going into certain areas and neighborhoods around here because I get harassed so badly; the saddest case was when I was just walking around and this group of CHILDREN came up and started harassing and assaulting me. I have to watch everywhere I go now.

I try not to let it affect me. I see no logical reason to even consider Racism an issue. Those that call other Racists are more Racist than those the Preach the Hate in the first place. And those who claim to be the Victims of Racism are their own worst enemies. If you consider yourself a Human Being, then you need no other identification as to what you are. If you let your life be run by your Bias, Bigotry, and Hatred, then your doomed to remain a little self centered person. It does not matter what color your skin is, or what country your ancestors came from. Or what religion you do or don't favor.

Racism is ingrained into society and there are varying degrees of racism. Sometimes we have a hard time distinguishing true racism because some try to hide their racist heart. I truly believe that most people are racist to some degree ad noticed I didn't say all people.
A true believer in goodness has a hard time being racist. But all of us to some degree one time or another has laughed at a racist joke.

My best friend is native indian... and whenever we go to a store or a restuarant, the owners will lock the doors and watch us like crazy.... also, I get lots of disaproving looks from strangers for being with a native man ^.^

We still have a problem with race vs race...even though there is a greater acceptance of interracial relationships. While Obama has been a poor President, in my opinion, it has nothing to do with race. I have voted for color many times. BUT... I believe there is a strong resistance to him as he is part black.

What pisses me off is being called a racist for having a conservative viewpoint! How the hell does fiscal responsibility equate to racism? How does family values equate to racism? I know it's a political tactic, dirty as it is, but that doesn't mean I have to like it! I was born in the "City of Brotherly Love" and was raised with black friends, but that means nothing to the left, does it?

The reason non cons (not just libs) usually lump you as all prejudice is because a lot are, from people who think gays shouldn't even have civil unions and discrimination against them be allowed by employers to people who don't want pagans, Muslims, and other non Christians to be able to have places of worship some even have gone as far as boycotting military enlistment because they didn't want pagans to be able to practice their faith while serving. So while not all of you may be prejudice more then a few are.
