The kemetic Religion were among the first religion of the world, if not the first , they invented medicine ,art and were masters of astrology. They also new the truths behind how humans correlate with nature and how to open the 6th chakra better known as a the "thrid eye"

There are personal truths, universal truths, scientific truths, spiritual truths...

There are many ways of evaluating them that involve logic, fact checking, checking your sources to see if they're credible or not and so much more.

Truth is whatever works for me. Everything I believe I know, and all the implications
these things carry are tools that I use to navigate the unknown, every day.

One example is the notion that we give and take in equal amounts; there are no gains here without losses elsewhere. Sort of a handy economical Truth, easily validated. We expand our borders by pushing yours back. He sells blood and buys scotch. I earn her love by giving her mine.

The largest Truth I've dealt with is the idea that we're all inextricably connected-- the implication being that individuality does not exist. This satisfies my essential concerns about the Universe, but is largely untested. It's no better than a religion, in that respect, but it works for me.

Your mileage may vary... another fine Truth. :O)

Thanks for your reply. When you say truth is what works for you, what if someone else's truth does not work for you, but works for them, like at a stoplight? If their truth is that they have right of way, and yours is that you have right of way, there could be an impasse with serious consequences.

That which "works for me" isn't necessarily desirable-- they're things which conform to my expectations, based on what I've observed or intuited.

IAC, "right of way" is just a legal stipulation-- hardly a 'truth'.

I might reasonably expect to sail through an intersection unscathed, but I also recognize that 'things happen'. The same is likely true for the other driver, as well.

So, we both regard a higher truth, and possibly perish, anyway: "two objects cannot occupy the same space at the same point in time."

And time marches on, with or without us.
