How do you feel about the new Victoria's Secret "Love Your Body" campaign?

You!
Add Photos & Videos
I personally think this campaign is full of crap. Being a plus sized teen and living in today's society, my self esteem dropped even lower (if that's even possible) while watching the Victoria's Secret commercial. How the heck am I supposed to "love my body" if all I see on commercials now-a-days are of size 0 models? Am I getting too butthurt or does anyone agree? If you don't agree with my argument, PLEASE don't say rude things.

***EDIT****
Sorry, the ad was mostly about bra sizes, but it implied about weight as well. At least the one that I watched.

***EDIT 2****
If ONE MORE person tells me to 'lose weight", "go on a diet","stop being a bitch", or "exercise" :

i will cut you gif I am plotting revenge.

i get it they have different colored models but they look to be the same size...even if its for underwear the bra sizes may be different but the panty sizes seem to be the same to me...I Like Dove's AD alot better!!!!
They have different varieties that you can see and feel good about!

I have never liked these Victoria Secrets ads. Iv always been on the thinner side, but I definitely don't look like any of those models. And its sad that they have to depict women that way. I love the Dove ads. Its fantastic.

I think it was suppose to say:
"Love your body...... only if you look like this of course!"

I think they had good intentions but they could have said the whole thing much better. I'm not anorexic skinny but i am thin. And when i see things where people say "only big girls are real women" it hurts just as much when someone makes fun of a fat person. In the picture it only has plus sized girls but "love yourself at any size" should apply to people of all sizes. Besides, not all thin women are proportioned like a Victoria secret model, most don't have such big boobs or so much hip. I'm just saying that they could have been more inclusive of other body types than just plus sized all around. :)

I cant say I hate it or love it. The concept it great. You should love your body no matter what. And if you dont? Change it. you are not stuck the way you are. I certainlly dont belive that a commercial should make you feel bad about yourself. half those girls arnt even really that skinny. Be happy with who you are or change it. Thats the way I see it(:

i cant say i dont like it because personally i think all of those women are beautiful. but i do not agree with it completely because not every woman in this world is thin i believe they should have had women of diffrent shapes and sizes in their if they wanted to promote a love your body thing >.>

Well for one I'm happy with my body, weight and boob size and I don't need a bunch of photo-edited-air-brushed models to tell me I'm right. So, what ever.

I don't see any variation in the body sizes, so I'm not really sure if they're getting a good message across.
And btw...I LOVE your second edit.

It's just another advertisement to me and seriously what do you expect them to do? Thin attractive people sell clothing better than fat ugly people any day. Its all about the money. They could care less about your feelings. If you hate your body so damn much then stop being a fat lazy loud mouth bitch and change it!

Of course "plus sized" people will hate it. Maybe it's time to change your food and fitness routine so you DO love your body and hate these commercials less.

I'm not plus sized (yes I'm a boy but we're expected to look a certain way, not so much as women though) and I hate it, this is American trash at it's worst.
Perhaps commercials should show varied women body shapes, height, and sizes. Instead of disturbingly tall women and twiggy bodies and flawless faces (and on top of that, photoshopped).

I am phsically fit, but I find we should not obsess over certain apperances and exclude all other body shapes.

It's "Love your body" not "Love your body IF you look rediciously tall, slim and sexy".

every woman should "love their body". Men should feel comfortable with their look as well. however, VS is NOT the best demonstration for this movement. Like you said, the models are all very thin and busty. Most women (I hope men do realize this) are NOT that thin or sculpted. Kudos to VS for running this campaign, but, they should have models of other shapes and sizes.

This is Victoria's Secret. I kinda gave up on them a while ago...
Except that that new line of underwear is REALLY comfy. That coming from a non-model in a serious way :p

Stop eating so much and do about your weight YOURSELF so you don't have to worry about others making YOU feel insecure. Everyone has to adjust themselves for you so don't feel fat and ugly. That is so pathetic and typical.
You're all over sodahead whining about how you're fat. YOU CAN'T HANDLE THE TRUTH.

So often a critic does what they do to elevate themselves. By putting someone else down. Makes them feel good and important. I wouldn`t give the critic the time of day. Enjoy your life. Suggest to osama y to go have a burger & fries & milkshake and leave you alone.

I grew up being compared to others who got better grades, wore better clothes, weighed more, could dribble a basketball better. You name it from being picked last, to getting literally kicked in the rear when I got off the sch. bus everynight. Until I chased that sch. bus down the road to his next stop where the kicker lived. When he got off, I was on him and did a bit of kickin myself. That stopped that. Not the politically correct solution, but effective. You`re a sweetheart !
