How do you end racism? "...stop talking about it."

Most racism nowadays is verbal. People make such a fuss about it, even asking how to end it. If most people could drop the subject, it'd be so much easier...



Of course, sometimes people do try to hurt you. And that is different. But we're talking about individuals, not the majority of people. Still, when someone is violently racist, they need to involve the cops, and HOPEFULLY the cops will do their job (as if...)



You can't change people, but you can change how you react to a situation. If you are living a mostly peaceful life with no violence or threats to your personal safety in it... stop talking about racism. It just makes people self conscious and makes you appear more different... you cause yourself to look like an alien.

What constantly playing the race card does it make it ineffective, everybody just goes, eh, another race accusation and moves on. So, if they keep constantly talking about it, that will do it.

Trying to bury it won't work, go ahead and let them talk.

That and quit expecting special treatment because of your skin color.

Now only if every one could realize this fundamental truth. As you speak about things you give those things power in your life. Don't talk about it and it ceases to have power. A simplistic explanation but to the point.

Yes, I agree. The less attention is broght toward the situation, the less it will be in people's minds. Since we are all supposed to have equal opportunities in this country, we should all be on equal terms regards of race or color. Stop pointing it out as a problem and no one will think of it as being a problem.

But, you will never get those who exploit Blacks for their own financial gain to stop. Such as The Reverend Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton.

Racism can never be stopped when the bar keeps raising. It is a victum status thing that has and will always be taken advantage of.

'Racism' comes from the heart, not the mouth.

There are two types of racism experienced from my perspective.

• That of the South: Overt

• That of the North: Covert



The covert racism is as if not more insidious than the overt. The covert masquerades as non-racist then back-stabs. I hate them both.

Just saying, its a bit ironic that you say the way to end racism is to stop talking about it when you have created a question that promotes discussion on it.

I'm asking the opinion of the SodaHead community. Much of the community may not even know about this philosophy so I'm sharing it.

I guess I can kind of see the irony but if it isn't shared then we can't aid the future generations in not being racist.
