What respectful way ? She doesn't owe this boy a thing boyfriend or not. Your mom, doesn't sound stubborn to me. Your mom is responsible for you until you turn 18. And if anyone loves you, it is MOM. Boyfriends are a dime a dozen.

Just tell her it is your life and you need to learn about relationships on your own. She can't choose a boy for you and can't tell you how to live your love life. It's a thing you have to go through on your own and only have support from friends and family. Hopefully she will understand and back off and just be there to talk to.

idk. thats why my parents dont know about my girlfriend, because im not going to break up with her if they dont like her. just tell her 'look mom, i understand that you dont like him and you think your trying to protect me, but please dont try to control me, or who i date. let me make my own mistakes, and learn on my own'

thanks and i have tried but shes stubborn lol she doesnt realize its killing me tht smakes me even think about having to choose

A parents biggest concern is for there child's safety... She probably believes in her heart she's doing whats best for you... I have two daughters, the oldest is seventeen, and I still try to control whom she dates... because I care. If your mother didn't love you she wouldn't care what you do... it's just that simple.
