How do I entertain a 14 year old girl for 6 days?

I have a 14 year old girl that will ne staying with me for 6 days.I don't want her on the computer as she took down my 3 year old Dell.What dio you suggest? If it's raining I can't go out with my scooter so trying to figure out how to amuse her while she is here.

That's hard to answer because I wasn't a normal 14 year old girl lol um but my guess would be movies and a library trip for books and if she's not a reader than she's just going to be stuck being bored watching movies. Lol

Hand her a few issues of cosmo, a mirror, and some lip gloss? LOL I don't know sorry. I wasn't the typical kid growing up and was into a world of different things than kids these days are into.

I'd jut leave her alone. Most teens don't like having adults breathing down their necks. She'll find something to do, I'm sure

At her age she more then likely wont need too much help keeping entertained. Movies a phone to call her friends. Trip to the mall maybe.

How old are you? You don't have to be exact, but what range are you in? If you're between 45 - 65 take her to the local mall. If you know any of your friends that have girls (please don't expose her to boys) around that age, invite them to your house for a social visit. Bake some cookies, make coffee or tea... talk to her. Find out what kind of movies she likes. Do you go to church? Is there a boys and girls club near you? Or, Youth Activities? Go to your local High School and ask the teachers or students a place where others her own age hang out.

Don't LEAVE her out of your site, though. Do something TOGETHER with her.

Does she like reading? Go to the book store. Hey, it's fall... are they're any fall festivals going on in your community?

thanks Smokey.That was great advice.It turned out she wanted to spend time with me.She liked to cook.She made supper a few nights and baked cookies on a rainy afternoon.She loved to draw and we had a great time,.She just left.Her mom and her partner just picked her up.Thanks for the great tips.

Well, it matters on the girl. For example, for me, I just need a PS3 or something. But if she's the more feminine girl type, it's magazines, a t.v., and movies.

I'm a 14 year old... but not the average one I think... It depends on what she likes. I'd say books, movies, maybe she likes magazines or something... depends on the girl

It's sad that I'm only 15, yet I can't think of anything at all that a normal teenager would like to do. Sorry. Just pretty much what everyone else has said, I guess.

I have no idea. I barely remember back when I was fourteen (despite the fact that I'm fifteen now). Ask her what she wants to do, I suppose.

I'm 16, but I don't think that helps. I'd bring an armful of books and a writing pad. You could always let her rent some DVDs.

I'm I'm 14, but to be honest I'm not 'normal' compared to everyone else I know... I'd rather read over anything else....
Just take her with you to the local rental store and get a few DVD's...
Also if she reads she'll probaly bring books with her...
Maybe add in bowling or a trip to the cinema...

Well, the no computer thing kills my idea. I was going to say hand her a computer and a phone. lol. If she likes to read though, that could be an option.

hm, depends upon her interests and your financial risking with her.

Perhaps take her out bowling or to the movies, play board games with her, maybe let her go to the film store and rent some DVDs that she likes.

I'm sixteen, and I've always been old for my age. I hate MTV and VH1, always have, and I was always fonder of reading books by Hiassen or watching vampire classics on the telly and writing than anything else.

I wish I could help but I wasn't exactly your typical 14-year-old girl, haha. I was more interested in reading Shakespeare than I was watching trashy television or whatever it is 14-year-olds are into.

I don't know, go to the library and get some books, ask the librarian what's good for her age. And if she isn't into books, try films, again, just ask someone who works at the rental shop what they'd recommend.
