Yes, I'm an atheist. God, or god, or gods--whatever your pleasure--do not exist. It's that simple. To US.
We hate you telling us about your god probably as much as you hate the fact that you cannot convince us your tale is real.
We honestly--after a look at the facts--which, BTW, there are none for a god--cannot even understand how you could believe in that stuff. It's just not true.
Sorry. And you know, how many people have been killed over the centuries for believing in this one or that, or not believing in this one or that, anyways? So it isn't just us, or even you for that matter.
You can believe whatever you want. Just stop trying to make us believe in it, too. This goes to everything: If we don't a kind of music, or picture, or video, or book, or style or anything, we simply don't watch, listen, read--you get the idea. But YOU guys: If you don't like it you always try to OUTLAW it because it goes against YOUR beliefs...you know, that ANGERS people.

I a lot of angry atheist today...I don't even know how but I ran into one on Sodahead.
"YOUR GOD IS A FAIRY TALE!" first thing they said.
Jeez and you complain that we bash to much.
Hearing this kind of stuff on Sodahead kind of hurts my feelings. Look no Christian out there is perfect and i'm not trying to pretend to be but all I want to do is follow God's word without being judged that an atheist has to beat me to the bashing punch.
I WONT BASH UNLESS YOU WANT TO GET INTO A DEBATE.
AND EVEN IF I DO IT'S CALM COLLECTIVE INTELLIGENT NICE TYPE BASHING. If that makes sense.
How can I have a friendly debate if all an atheist or agnostic wants to say is God is a fairy tale. They don't want to listen to an interpretation...

Why do you take versus so literally without looking for a modern day interpretation. Someone showed me a verse about hate, when really it's about putting things, people, even yourself out of the way to follow God/Jesus. I don't get it, you asked me to explain and then you get mad and don't want to listen???

As an atheist I sometimes deal with that stuff but from the other side. As soon as I realize it I'm gone. :-)
If somebody out in SH land offends you by their hate, ignore it and love them despite the hate.

That suggests that this person believes that there is a God. They may not believe in God but they believe that believers in God have a God!! In order to not believe in something you first have to believe that there is something to not believe in!
Atheist don't know if there is a God or not, they just believe there is no God!
Quite simply atheist are very sad and unhappy people that have to make or try to make those that are happy miserable by raining on their parade.
Shower an atheist with happiness, smiles and all that is good and you'll just piss them off!! And it's very fun!

So, they intentionally search out any and all that claim to be religious, ESPECIALLY Christians, in hope that their insulting and abuse get an angry response so that they can proclaim, "You're a fine example of a Christian!"
I have come to the decision that, at the FIRST sign that an atheist or self proclaimed agnostic starts spewing their drivel with insults and ridicule to Christian's, or a member of any other religion, I PERMANENTLY BLOCK them!!! I've tried a few times to "unblock" them in hope of starting with a clean slate but, NOT ONE SINGLE TIME, have I NOT wound up "reblocking" them very shortly after!!!
BTW, you did PROVE one more thing, that YOU are just as simpleminded and childish now that YOU'VE entered your SECOND CHILDHOOD as YOU obviously were before!!! In other words, YOU'RE just as imbecilic as YOU'VE ALWAYS been, except that YOU'RE now nothing more than an imbecilic CHILD, lol!!!
anyways- just ignore the person. everyone is entitled to their own beliefs and thoughts, however, people should always be respectful to one another. if the person persists, block them and report them.
I debate them if they are polite, if they aren't, the I ignore them. If they are worse, then I'll block them for a short while before unblocking them. You have to do what is right for you.
Something that I feel that both angry convert the world anti-theists and religious fundamentalists need to learn.
