How different are your views than those of your family?

My views are quite different than those of my mother and siblings. From religion to lifestyle to politics. None of us agree so we just don't talk about it much.

Somewhat different

I have always loved going naked and used to run around home that way. Mom thought I would grow out of it but today I am an avid nudist.

its actually both similar and different
when im with my mother, its like rebel baby rebel
but when with others or by myself im more like my mother ;o

Quite different

Me and my mom have a lot of different views. From religion all the way through to politics. My dad is somewhere in the middle between her and me, leaning towards her.

My sister doesnt care but I think that socially we share views (such as gay marriage) but she's more religious than I will ever be. She's also more concerned about her friends than politics so no go there.

Then not too different. I'm Agnostic and they're Christian. I'm bisexual and they're straight. I don't really know my political views yet, so I can't exactly answer the political one.

That sounds closer to "Quite different" to me, but perhaps your family is more accepting and supportive than some. :)

Definitely. They hardly blinked an eye when i told them about my religion and my bisexuality. I'm very lucky to have them as my parents.

Somewhat different

We have a lot of the same interests and the same religion, but I changed my political beliefs a bit since I moved out. They're religiously conservative, and my sister and I are Libertarian.

I used to share their views, but over the past year or so they've become day and night. I'm a rationally based Libertarian, atheist skeptic artist. They're right-wing christian fundamentalist conspiracy theorists that view any non-god-based expression as a sin. Needless to say, Christmas time is interesting at my parents' house...

I have similar "issues" in my family. I am the Libertarian, Wiccan, Artist. I question everything and Christians kinda frown on that.

To my father, it's extremely different. To my mother, somewhat different. To my younger brother, somewhat different. My older brother is the closest my views are too.

My parents are Jewish. I'm a laVeyan Satanist. My mom is a Conservative. I'm like my dad, a Libertarian. The rest of my family differs a lot, too. (EX: Athiest/Apathetic uncle. Jewish/Liberal Aunt. Anarchist/Catholic cousin)

Interesting family gatherings? My family is much divided as well. My mom is a Christian who doesn't believe in getting politically involved. I really have no idea what my sibling believe in, besides being angry at everything. Don't have a father to speak of, lol. I am a Wiccan/Libertarian.

way diffrent levels they wanted me to be a stay at home mom , where i wanted to actual work and make a life for myself which i did so speaking terms were gone many years ago

That's sad. My mom and I have very different views, but be have come to "agree to disagree". It took most of my life to get to that point though.

yea.. its a kill joy, even to try and get the cold sholder, its more the less , im supposed to wait on some man , but what gets her the most is i dont date guys and that was the start of the fire, then top off i wont be some stay at home mom , was the final blow, but im still trying work it into her head

I think the views of my parents and 3 out of 4 of their sons are very similar. Unfortunately the oldest son was dropped on his head as a baby and today he is a far right conservative.
