Sometimes its pretty obvious but an x-ray is the only way to know for sure.

Wow, those breaks were pretty gruesome.

The swelling went down, no pain, not black and blue ... just a little stiff, so I think it is OK. Thanks.

I once broke my foot playing basketball and my friends were calling me a wimp saying that I wouldn't be able to walk on it if it was broken, they were wrong as an x-ray showed that it was indeed fractured.

    Good luck with the arm!

The swelling already went down. I just bashed it really good when I fell off the roof. :-()

It would be cool to have x-ray eyes though. Thanks.

Well my wrist does look like it has a dent in it but no pain and mobility is not very affected; just a little due to swelling.

Swelling and a lot of pain at the break site. Difficult to move. Not sure what the hell the other commenter talking about mobility and spine pain is even talking about. Lol. The best thing is to always go for an x-ray. It could be a break or a fracture. When I was younger I had a spiral fracture in my leg and no one could tell for a while.

I had a fracture once. didn't know it was a fracture until 3 days after dealing with pain and going to the doctors to get an xray.

The part below the break usually doesn't function well, if at all, and there is pain all the way to your spine.

Hmm, seems to work fine, just some swelling. Maybe not broken.

If you are talking about your forearm, the small bone could be broken and it still function somewhat. I broke the small bone in my leg above my ankle and could walk on it. It was very painful, though.
