How can I convince my parents to give me my phone back?

I got my phone taken 2 days ago over something major. But i cant get it back for another 47 days.. YES IM COUNTING DOWN. How do i make them give it back in a shorter time frame?

Prove to them you're going to behave yourself, go out of your way to help out around the house WITHOUT being asked, and be extra sweet. If they have a soft heart like I do, they might give in a little early. Good luck!

Learn a lesson from the mistake you made. But, don't try getting the phone back. That's annoying and disrespectful.

You can live without your phone four 47 day's. If they gave you the phone and there paying for the phone and the bill two they have that right to take it away from you.

Accept that which you cannot change. There is plenty to do without the phone. I am on the opposite side I hate phones and although I have one with the net,. the camera, the apps, and all the other capabilities it sits and I have used it maybe three times in a year. I go to bookstores have a nice mocha and enjoy latest novels that are out or the movies,. or shopping or many other things and don't need to be connected to enjoy the day.
If I were you I would find things to keep yourself busy and the time will go quicker.

tell them that you learn your lesson and ask do extra activities that your parent will be happy. like fixing the garage or going to some non profit agency for volunteer work

There needs to be consequences for our actions. It is a parent's job to set boundaries and guidelines for youth to follow. Each family will handle things differently. You made a choice to do something that you knew there would be some negative consequences for... so... deal.

It depends on what 'major' means, but you could always demonstrate attentiveness to what they tell you; be uber-responsible in everything else in your life, etc.

Show them that you learned your lesson, IOW. . .and here's a REALLY novel concept: ask them what it would take! :-)

show them that you have learned from your mistake. That you will be more responsible and will not make the same mistake again. You have to earn the trust back and make up for your mistake, what ever it was.
