If the government made the wealthy meaning the celebs like football and basketball players and movie stars and so forth pay at lease a percentage of their salary the USA would be back in tip top shape, instead of making the poor pay higher taxes.

Cut corporate taxes and taxes that are damaging to business to businesses can hire. That is how you create jobs.

Oops wrong question. To make America a strong country again, clean house in congress and send the President packing, that would be a start, then do the above, along with focusing on God. America has distanced themselves from God and that has weakened our country big time. Go back to the principles that our founding fathers have set forth in the Constitution.

Make everyone who makes over a $100,000 pay a big percentage

    Yep

Stop spending the money we don't have. This country went more than a century without a personal income tax.

First, vote Obama out of office. Second, return our country back to the US Constitution of 1787. Third, implement the Fair Tax.

Surely you don't mean that we would count the negroes as less than a person again and permit slavery?

Today we would not count any person “less than a person.” But, at the time some felt it was necessary. The majority in the North wanted to do away with slavery and many in the South did not see slaves at their same level. So the one’s who wanted to free the slaves took advantage of this southern paradigm suggesting not count them as a full person. By doing this, decreases the Southern representatives in the House giving more power to the North increasing the opportunity to make such changes. And the rest is history.

But you wanted to return to the Constitution of 1787.

Return to the basic Constitution of 1787 with the amendments we have today, but replace the 16 amendment with the Fair Tax (HR 25, S 13); in other words, get off this “living constitution” concept.

It is "living" inasmuch as we can amend it, but not that it should be freely interpreted contrary to the intentions of the Founders.

The “living constitution” has little to do with our US Constitution with its current amendments. The “living constitution” is a function of stare-decisis establishing new precedent of law where the courts are in control and Obama is using executive orders to manipulate the law to his own dictate. There is a fourth branch of government, not defined in the US Constitution, who is not elected, and controlling society via regulations from IRS, EPA, Obamacare, Educational Department, etc. The central government in Washington DC has more control over the states than the intent of the US Constitution. Congress is operating outside the spending restrictions defined in Article 1, Section 8. And so on. Occasionally the courts will go back to the US Constitution when it is to the advantage of the “living constitution.” Woodrow Wilson inspired this “living constitution” concept in his 1908 book: “Constitutional Government in the United States.” This transition of our government to this cancerous “living constitution” took place over many decades. Now it has metastasized and our system of government is not what the Founding Fathers designed.

As I said earlier, we need to return to our US Constitution!

    That's why they haven't gotten a budget.

I could only wish the “budget” were the only problem we have.

It would be a lot better if Congress weren't so corrupt.

That is a function of the moral fabric of our society. Complements to our government controlled educational system.

Lower fuel prices by allowing more drilling is the biggest way to help the american economy. It helps the poor, middle class and business more than any other single thing!

Make laws that put political hacks found guilty of stealing from the public, serve at least 20 years at hard labor. None of this pussy-footing around. No bail, no appeal, no parole. Second offenders are hanged.

Use 3 types of taxes, a flat tax on income, a value added tax on all nonessential goods, and estate taxes. This will eliminate trillions of unnecessary expenditures on lawyers and accountants...who do zilch for the GNP. Put limits on awards in civil suits. Legalize euthanasia (1/3rd of all Medicare costs are to prolong ones miserable existence for one more month; many would volunteer to avoid this ridiculous cost to spend one more month in a stupor). Legalize suicide and make it available to those imprisoned. Eliminate appeals processes for those convicted with irrefutable, scientific evidence. Use professional trained juries instead of a "jury of your peers" who are often chosen because of their low intelligence and inability to think rationally. Well, the list goes on and on but this would be a good start.

America would have been alright it it wasn't for malfeasance by banking. Separating banks into loaning banks and investment banks worked. Clinton changed this and that's why we have problems. But you need to figure out which party is for separating them again and which isn't. Then you'[ll know who to vote for.
