Not really. What I do fear somewhat is the 'zombie-like' stupid's who make up the 45% of the population still supporting premier Obama. That scares me!

I believe that self preservation comes in here. Most people will fight or flee. Homeless people are still resourceful. As well as the insane. Who knows how this individual to possess such an arsenal.

Although if it was just me and him in a dark alleyway, possibly yes. His picture fails to reveal how tall he is, so... who knows how menacing he really is.

I fear any threats that are not under control. There are always a few psychos that are plotting some kind of murder & mayhem and looking for an opportunity to present itself.

But I am not clear exactly what this has to do with homeless people. If you live on the street you have to watch your back. That in itself doesn't make you a criminal.

Still a sizeable weapons hoarde is not something you typically find in someone's car where space is at a premuim. Worth looking into. If his intentions were honorable then he shouldn't mind answering a few questions.

I don't live in fear of anyone. I do however, use wisdom when I go out alone, especially in the evening. That's just good sense!

What does this have to do with copycat killers? I'm sure many homeless people have their possesions in their car. Including guns and knives. And the list could be for any number of reasons.

This guy is obviously a liberal radical with all the drugs. He was probably going to insist that the government legalize his drugs.

IF we can trust the SF police at all, the following is the only thing here that should have gotten him arrested:

"The search of the car also turned up marijuana and a methamphetamine cookbook, police said."

And NOT the "methamphetamine cookbook" because that's just a book.

(Plus, hey... it is San Francisco: maybe he had a prescription for the marijuana too... heh.)

If he had all the weapons and ammo legally, leave him alone. He's lost his home probably due to the same mess that's bitten most people in the ass the last few years, so where else is he going to keep his belongings but in the car?

The police who did not make an example out of this poor guy the first time around should be commended, not criticized.

Maybe he wasn't watched. If a security camera saw him trying to break into the emergency exit then the situation could have been diffused much sooner.

Yes this is true! We should not have to fear,I beleive that violence on T.V. to much cursing and children can hardly watch cartoons anymore , because of the violence and cursing.,what happend to all the cartoons I watched when I was a little girl.I believe waching violence on T.V. it's not good for children and if someone has mentle problems then it's not good for them either. We can't stop what is showed on T.V. but the parents should moniter what their children are watching on T.V. a lot of times parent use the T.V. as a babysitter, and children are not restricted on what they watch. And part not all of the reasons children are violent is T.V. and how the parents raise their chidren.Children need understanding and a lot of love from their parents or parent. And can act out what they see at home.So us parents need to take control what go's on in the home!.

Not copy cat as much as just crazies with guns who think they have the right to kill -- in this guy's case, one of his relatives, lest not forget. Though having examples to look at, is instructive for the less creative nutcase.

What I fear more is, no mental health facilities for people that need to be locked up but not in the current prison system. Some of our homeless are these people. With our need to rehab mental hospitals, we turned out many individuals that need help and benefit from a consistent routine that they aren't able to keep or control themselves.

Notice the spaced out look of this guy, just like the Holmes guy. Something more going on than meets the eye. Where are a college student and a homeless guy going to get the money to buy all the weapons they say they have. Come on now, firearms are not cheap. I would say it is more a ploy by those "powers that be" to try to clamp down on gun rights and a prelude to the civil disturbance our current administration would like to get started and bring about martial law before election time. Our freedoms in the country are disappearing more and more every day. Will people wake up and see how this is being orchestrated before our wonderful country is gone?

The news report supports the false premise that owning guns means someone is a criminal.
