I wear them because I'm a full time mum, part time uni student/worker/housewife and haven't got time to fluff my hair up in the latest styles. It's thick, long and unruly and scrunchies are strong enough to hold it up while I clip the rest back.
How women can stand hair flopping on front of their face while going about daily things is beyond me. And no, I won't cut it off or I will have to keep it short every 2 weeks, it grows too fast.

Gasp! Secretary of State Hillary Clinton has made a shocking move -- and it has nothing to do with foreign policy. She wore ... drum roll ... a scrunchie!

Clinton was spotted with the long-out-of-style '80s-'90s hair accessory (in black) during a meeting with Peruvian Prime Minister Salomon Lerner in Washington, D.C. And while you might expect the media coverage to be about U.S.-Peruvian relations, most news reports have focused on her ponytail.
"Scrunchies have had a recent resurgence thanks to American Apparel, but ever since Carrie Bradshaw mocked the hair elastic on 'Sex and the City" most women have run from the stretchy fabric-covered elastics in fear," Yahoo! Shine quips.

Clinton also happens to be a repeat offender -- she was first seen wearing a scrunchie earlier this year. And she's been called out in the past for her hairbands and barrettes, not to mention her infamous pantsuits. Do you think the media pay too much attention to Hillary's fashion sense? Or does she need to step it up a bit? The woman did turn 64 years old today -- does she still have to look like she stepped out of the pages of Vogue? What do you think?

NOT A FASHION MODEL.
now that would look perfect on her..
2. She's never been known for her "style," why worry about it now? As long as she's doing her job, who cares what's in her hair?
Truly a low point in my life.
I think these fashionista types that form their own opinions based on either personal preferences or worse, the rantings of a fictional TV character and then try to force them on the masses as 'taste' are twits.
The same twits that gasped in horror as Michelle Obama wore a purple dress for the second time in 3 years. WTF?
Your faux taste and fashion rules are ridiculous. Get real.
She needs it shorter , like this.
I am no fan of Hillary but don'cha think she looks good both ways?
