A friend took me to a sorority party and wandered off and danced with an older woman. We were in our early 20's at the time and she looked about 50. I was like Damn! They were having a good time too. Laughing and talking and dancing. Damn look at him! Later, I asked him, man all of these fine hammas in here and you're huddled up what that old gal? He said, she's my future mother-in-law! Around the same age, I drove a friend and one of his buddies to a party once. Didn't get to the cleaners in time to get my suits and slacks out etc. so all I had were those expensive jeans and polo shirts, etc. Man where's your suit, etc? Both him and his boy were suited and booted and tried to make me feel like I was bumming. Wouldn't even talk to me, just gave me directions. I was cool with that though. Got to the party and it was jumping. They walked off scheming on getting in a back room where people where going in and out and left me at the door. I grabbed a beer and this older lady wandered over to me and started dancing. Just came right over and started dancing. We danced a little and talked. She told me that her daughters were at the party. I tried to flatter her by asking her who would babysit during a party like this. Trying to maker her feel like she was a young gal. She said no, her daughters were in that back room. The one where everyone is going in and out? Yes, you want to meet them? Of course and she grabbed me by the arm escorted me right past my partners who were still scheming on how to get in and led me to 3 fine young thangs. Dime pieces! My two boys finally got in and talked them into going out to dance. I was just content staying back there with them! Any way, we danced for a while and then another dime piece pulled up on me. Don't I know you, etc.? We did! You never know who knows who and where things might lead too. But all of that can be lost due to a negative attitude.
