Have you known someone who killed themseves?

Thank god. However, I know some people with failed attempts, myself included.

A few people. One of my close friends did last October. I am still pissed off at him.

Uhh I am sorry. It makes you wonder how much pain they were in to do it. I always want to blame ....someone.

the weird thing is I had just talked to him 5 hours before he did it, one of the last people to talk to him and he was fine.

The people that make that choice and REALLY mean to do it...don't seem like they are. The ones that want help show it ...I think.

that is true... Apparently he and his girlfriend got in a fight right after we stopped texting each other....

That is just SO sad. For me I talk to one of the girls I knew a few days before and knew something was wrong because she said "It does not matter if they call me a cow anymore. Or punch me (the pretties, a group of popular girls and two gay guys, at school bullied and belittled her EVERYDAY) I am going to go so far away no one can touch me." It was an odd conversation and I told her teacher and her parents something was very wrong...but they said it was just teen girl drama. They were wrong. She planned and waited. I did not know her that well but even I could see it...so for her parents and teachers NOT to was insane. She took every single pill her parents had in the house and washed it down with her moms booze so by the time they got back from where they were she was gone. The funny thing is the pretties just laughed about it....the moo moo killed herself haha lolo I guess she did not want to look at her fat ass in the mirror anymore" Or "She knew she would never get laid at 220lbs...another fatty out of the gene pool!" "She would have been a breeder anyway better she killed herself and saved us the money to support her and her litter of piggies"
All of that I remember from hearing them in halls. I'll never forget that. They moved onto the next poor kid the same day.

I think in a way it's harder about your friend because he did not give any warning...and there is no one to be mad at but...him. Uhh.

That is really sad. I myself was picked on everyday from 3rd grade through middle school (it still happened in high school but I never gave it any mind because at that point I had actually made some friends). I though was made fun of for being too skinny and having a gay dad. Which is ironic because I am 2354 lbs now... lol but I am sexy. I feel for her family and friends. It makes me sad hearing about so many kids these days thinking that life won't get better. But it does.

YES it does. I feel bad sometimes because my life with each paaing year just gets better and better. I wish I could tell each kid going into jr HS that HS as much as it SUCKS will pass and you can be happy.....will be if you can just get through HS and sometimes college...

Though what i find kind of odd is that you don't really hear about so many suicides in other countries... Even third world countries where life is so so so much worse then any life can be here.

I think China has one of the highest suicide rates but I'd have to google it.

I had a friend who killed himself because it turned out that his girlfriend of ten months was cheating on him.
He was actually getting ready to propose when he found out. He wasn't even the kind to get attached too quickly. When he addressed her about what he had heard, she was entirely indifferent about it.
I guess they both made their choices.

Its awful :/ She was bullied so much, she ended up taking her own life :/ and my best friend has also attempted suicide 11 times :/

My Uncle, and my Father. Neither one of them was an insecure kid with bad parents. Nobody killed themselves over being "picked on" when I was a kid. People kill themselves because THEY CHOOSE to - don't blame anyone else for their choice. I loved my Father and my Uncle more than you could ever know, but THEY had other choices too.

One of my High School teachers. He was a complete douchebag. He played favorites with a few of his male students, one of which found his body at his home. Maybe he had some issues with that, I don't know. I just had difficulty caring when I heard the news, because he was such bad teacher and jerk to so many students.
