This shoe is called the MBT (Masai Barefoot Technology) Designed by Swedish scientist Karl Muller. I own 3, my mom owns 1, my boyfriend owns 1. Have you heard of this shoe? Here is low down on it.
1. Simulates walking on sand. The curve of the shoe gives off the natural walking motion. The simulation of sand is the natural surface we as people are meant to walk on. The benefits:
2. Corrects back posture, reduces and eliminates back pain and joint pain/stress.
3. High impact shock absorbency allows for extreme comfort and soft walking.
4. Naturally enhances more muscle activity allowing a person to burn extra calories while walking and standing in the show. Proven to tone muscle.
5. The shoe is expensive ($200+), but well worth its price. The shoe is an adjustment and usually takes more people about 1 week to get used to. The shoe can be worn for all day comfort once adjusted. Some people may feel tightness or soreness in the beginning to the extra muscle activity.
Granted some people may hate its style or looks ( I love the looks) it is still well liked. If you have not tried this shoe you can, at any Walking Company store. Check: http://www.thewalkingcompany.com (search by Brand link MBT)
Visit MBT's official web page too: http://www.swissmasaius.com/Default.aspx?lang=en-US. How do I know so much about the shoe? I work for the company :o)

+1They make saaaaandles lol. If you enjoy the comforts of walking barefoot on soft surfaces, you might like these! They are essentially very healthy for people. Also, I hear all the time from friends how they hurt all the time in the back, knees, or feet. What a way to feel better huh?!reply - Michael Ves~Sai... 2009/01/29 04:21:10

+2No I hate shoes...lol Most of my female friends seem to feel about shoes the same way you do...lol, and I don't mean that as a sexist remark, it just seems like Women love shoes...reply -
True, woman love shoes, but thats not my reason, I actually do not own a lot of shoes. I just hate seeing feet. I think feet are ugly, and they creep me out lolreply - Michael Ves~Sai... 2009/01/29 07:13:04
lol Well, I do agree with you there, feet aren't that great to look at...
reply - Moose 2009/01/29 04:04:41I do not own these shoes.+3Weird, lol, worth a try on though, but I doubt I'd buy them, unless they felt awesome.reply

+2Lol, I always tell people its worth a trying experience because they do totally feel much different (altho you get used to it). However for some people, like my mom, it was immediate relief for you (and for me), caution...It will feel awkward! But it feels more natural the more you walk. Its funny, I will have people come in, just to try them on and I actually have had people ask me to take photos of them with them wearing them...like we are some tourists site lol.reply
