My husband got some really heavy duty pain meds when he got diagnosed with gout, but he didn't take more than a couple of them. A few months later, I wrenched my back slipping in the shower, and I took one because I didn't have anything strong enough. I felt better, then the room started to ripple, and my face felt like it was melting. I started freaking out, unable to figure out what was happening. My friend figured out that I was getting high, unintentionally.
When my husband was laid off I ran out of blood pressure medicine, a family member took the exact same brand I did and also the exact same dosage, i did without until my blood pressure hit a dangerous level then I took some of theirs until I could manage to get to the doc and renew my prescription, I did call and talk to my doc before doing that though.
My dad and my friend have been kind enough to give me a Percocet when I'm on my period. I have a little thing called Dysomenorrhea, which means my cramps reach, on a scale of 1-10, a 9.5. Percocets are the only thing that takes away the pain... and also makes me really high... not the fun kind of high, the "oh my god am I going to die? No... no, I'm just really high... oh god..." kind of high.
My husband's. We both have to be pre-medicated before a scheduled dental cleaning and the medication used is identical. So, when mine is out, I'll just take one of his.
Yes, I'm aware it is illegal.
OK, when I was young I might have.
