Yes but not all that far at all. We usually just go to my aunts uncles and cousins in New Jersey, which is only about an hour away.

Once. I was in a home for unwed mothers. The human spirit can be pretty resilient. We told ourselves that it wasn't much different from being a soldier overseas -- except we were completely safe, so we actually had it better.

One year in the military my unit was designated QRF and no one could take any leave for Christmas. It wasn't bad, I spent the day with fellow soldiers feeding malt liquor to my married friend's chihuahua.

    Sawadee...

Nothing like Christmas in Thailand in short sleeves, cut offs, on the beach in Penang, Phu Ket or on the Mekong River sucking on Mai Tais in 95 degree heat & 95% humidity having moo kao pad for lunch, on a hammock between two palm trees while being fanned by two beautiful Thai poo yings.

    phu ket mekong thai woman
    Sawadee.
