I served on a jury in a trial for attempted murder of a policeman. Very interesting and a little scary.

Yes I have; more than once and I HATED it. It was always interesting BUT the system is wrong. Heard all the gory detailed steps involved in a home break-in/robbery/rape and attempted murder of a 92 year old woman. After suffering thru the entire story and having to look at a pure joke of a lawyer who's antics were a bad attempt to take our attention off of his disgusting client and sad excuse of a young man the whole ordeal was plea bargained as we ate lunch . . before we could decide anything at all we were told a deal was made with the judge and for each year the creep served in jail counted as a year for all 3 crimes committed. . . He got 10 Years!!! He completety ruined the end of that womans life but he will be out of prison by the time he is 30 even if he serves his full term! It sucked! Had nightmares for months! He beat her so bad with a rock in her own yard he knocked out her facial bones! The second case ended up in a hung jury due to ONE juror. Yeah, not fun for me.reply - Sister Jean 2012/06/09 20:29:43
