Have you ever heard Portuguese "Fado" music?

Loverofcountry 2012/09/02 00:25:35
I have recently discovered Fado, and although I don't understand the words, the pure power of the emotions in the voice has captivated me. I do,now, look up the lyrics and the translations, but you do not need to understand the words to enjoy the music.

Briefly, fado is typical of the portuguese and nostalgia associates with the husband or boyfriends who went to the findings in oceanos. O empire then formed from the fifteenth century was sumer many men who died or were there.

Yes, the instramental, they have a sound similar to the Greek traditional music. You have a wide range of musical tastes, and appear to be embedded in strings, my taste also.

Actually, there are not many ,good young singers of Fado. I read that the portugese do not have much appreciation for the treble voice. They prefer the more husky voice.

I know it's not genuine but there's a TV advert over here that features a Mariachi band doing covers of pop songs... their version of "Don't You Want Me Baby" is brilliant!
