I had a friend who had a german shepherd who was a real friend to me.Sadly he died because he had health problems and when i found out about his death i cried all night.

My doggy Dudley, who died when I was around 13. He was a 'mutt' with a good amount of German Shepherd in him. He was so loving, protective, and awesome, especially when it came to me and my two brothers. He was without a doubt the best friend I had as a child, and it was a horrible day that we came home from Church one Sunday to find him lying in the yard lifeless. (Thanks for the bad memory and making me tear up here :P )

Our 9 year old lab, Maddie, died a year ago July 4th, and our 2 year old German Shepherd died a year ago July 25th. My husband and I still cry almost every day. We are still not ready to adopt another pet. We miss them both, so much. They were a big part of our lives and they made us laugh every single day.
