The Elitist Libtard SodaJerk 2012/07/26 00:32:52Yes+5Once I worked in a warehouse, and one of the managers had a vendetta against me because he had a thing for one of the receptionists that I ended up going out with. So for weeks he would put me into these maintenance positions. Stuff that I wasn't hired to do. Then one day he hands me a leaf blower and tells me to clean the parking lot. After about an hour of patiently waiting for him to move his car, and him yelling at me for not cleaning the lot in time. I decided to just clean it, with his expensive sports car still parked there.

When I got there, I realized why. He was a lackey, he'd take credif for other's work, schmooze the regional people above him, and worst of all, he hired his marginally intelligent, terribly inefficient high school buddy to be the Assistant Director. The guy was CLUELESS!! Neither would do anything to improve the process of the operation. They were losing subscribers, losing doctors, and everything I did got criticized. "I don't care what you did in New Mexico." Well that's nice, but something needs to save your numbers, Buddy!
When I ran the monthly reports, I noticed some money taken out of the project funds to pay for Chris (his buddy's) personal dental bills. Hmm. That ain't right. I notified the regional people and Rod got wind. He schmoozed the regionals again (crawling under the desk???!!) and I got let go. Not a problem. I was still in Denver as a young single and very employable. Life went on and I didn't have to associate with slimes any longer.
to a customer after he felt me up... got a job in front door bar 10 min later just for the same reason... different kind of boss... different kind of man!
I really screwed up on the job and deserved to be let go. First, I had never used a dishwasher before and broke some dishes when I pulled the rack out. Then I made coffee without a filter and it started to spew all over the place. Yeah, I deserved to be let go.
The funniest of the story is that about a decade later, we had our first female minister.
But there is still a gap between politically admitted equal rights and their application in work and society.
