Anybody who drives the posted speed limits on the roads where I live are an obstruction and a menace.

And I'd like to put my foot up the a$$ of all the left-lane vigilantes out there who have the mistaken idea it is their duty to control speeds on the roads. Those idiots don't have a clue about the hazards they create for everyone. Look.... if people are passing you on your right side, get you a$$ out of the left lanes!

I got a ticket for doing 38 in a 30 mph zone, here in the UK if you are not wildly over the top you get an option to take a speed awareness course, it costs a little more than the fine but you escape having points on your licence, what an eye opener that was, I discovered that most of the people on the course were so ignorant of the speed limits and most other legal aspects of driving they should not have been on the road at all in the first place. Driving standards here in the UK are not even up to the standard of dire.

hahahaha I have been driving sports cars or modifieds since I was 18 over 35 yrs, set the cross country speed record in my family from San Antonio to Corpus Christi 142 miles in 1hr 17 mins before the Interstate was finished. From 75-85 I talked my way out of 8 tickets, outran the cops 6 times and got a ticket one time. I was on Interstate 10 between San Antonio and Houston east bound traveling around 140 mph (I have the NEED for SPEED) for about 50 miles, when I got close to my turnoff slowed down to 80 and shortly after was a Texas Highway Patrol coming up with his light a flashing. I pulled over, I had a beer between my legs, he asked how much I had to drink, I said less than half a beer, showed him my bottle. He had me get out, and do a few walking tricks for him as he was telling me he clocked me at 120 but that was as high as his radar went, and that he had chased me for over 20 miles before I slowed down enough for him to catch me. When he determined that I was not drunk, he had me follow him to see the judge cause my ticket was over 95. When we got to the judges office, this man about 5'1" , around 65 looked at the report, looked at me, looked at my car a couple of times, then said hun, if you let drive your car, I will drop your ticket down to 95 so you can take d...

I said lets go, pitched him the keys and away we went. It was 1980 and I was driving a new 81 Camero Z-28 that was Metal flake Brown. I drive over 100 mph several time a week, but the last and only other ticket I received was in 88 for 35 mph in a 30. Here is my current car, a Screaming Yellow 2004, 40th Anniversary Edition Mustang, my 8th Stang, saving for the 50th Anniversary Edition (2014) available next year.

Once. But it was when I was the only one on the road at midnight, and I lost track of my speed. I realized I was going too fast and started slowing down, but it was too late. Small town cops are annoying -__-

Several times, but only a few I had to pay for and then very little. I found that if you conduct yourself correctly and show the officer respect, sometimes they will give you a break. And the main thing is they have a job to do. If they didn't do it, they'd get fired like anyone else.

Surprisingly... its like I'm invisible I blow past em going 15 over or will be speeding right next to em they pay more attention to their computer than the road. Most people slow down to the speed limit I get mad I'll go atleast 5 over even with a cop around us. But I'm a safe driver. Men on cell phones are the worst right along with those people not paying attention or decide not to run the light at the last sec an make us both slam on our brakes I wanna beat their asses when they do that.

I just hate that our "peace officers" have now become revenue raisers for the state. I don't hate all cops... not even most cops... but there is much less to respectful and appreciative about when it comes to law enforcement now-a-days.

I used to write speeding tickets on a daily basis as well. It was my pet peeve when I was a cop. I rarely gave breaks to excessive speeders.

I was on the road and the speed limit changed suddenly from 70 to 55, without one of those orange warning signs. Well I guess I didn't notice the change and I had my cruise control on 72. I end up getting pulled over in a speed trap and I was "supposedly" radar'd at 80mph. My crappy car can't even go that fast!!! Anyway I ended up just paying the ticket from that filthy liar cop because it was only $150 and it was 4 hours from home.

I think it's pretty scummy that cops can get away with blatantly lying like that.
