Two weeks before I graduated our principal gave me 160 hours of detention and said I'd have to serve every one before I'd get my diploma. My mom ended up going to pay him a visit and told him she'd sue the begeezus out of him and the school if they tried doing it. I only served two hours. :)
I had my own desk reserved for me in the detention room the entire grade 11 year.... and part of grade 12 til i could write my own notes.... and as much as the high school predicted i would be a basket weaver, I hated to disappoint them by graduating in communications and engineering on the deans list lol..... its a great place to do your homework...
Even better, I got In School Suspension... I and another guy had to sit outside the classroom for three days because the teacher THOUGHT he heard me use language he didn't think was appropriate. I was talking to someone about a NASCAR race and I mentioned a driver taking a pit stop. He thought I said "Pissed Off" and was not going to tolerate such foul language in his classroom. Sux to be me...
Apparently they don't like it when you show up to school 20 minutes late 50% of the time... okay 80%...
