    Well not actually dated. We had one come and live with us for a while. We called her "The Black Widow" because everywhere she had lived people had died "tragically." She kept trying to get us to put her in our will. Oh yeah like we would really do that.

    Oh god yes. She wa sthe nicest person in the world but after being together, after a year I learn that she is abusing her meds. Adderol. When the meds were gone, so was her brain and she was a total B. Everytime we would get into a petty argument, she would call the police. She quit her job 2 weeks after we moved in together. Cost me 80 dollars to evict her. Lol... Very true story...

    A real peach alright. Crazy ass got married less than a year after I booted her. Divorced in six months and tried to call me. I ran and I ran and I ran. Forest gump had nothing on me.

    She was on mixed forms of amphetamine (Adderal) and that seemed to calm her down and keep her focused?

    Sorry for the third-hand diagnosis, but that sounds suspiciously like adult ADHD, with proven response to medication. Did you learn the purpose for which she got Adderal in the first place? If it was prescribed for her (instead of coming into her hands by way of diversion), somebody was thinking about ADHD and treating accordingly.

    The question isn't whether she was using Adderal (probably XR) for "recreational" purposes but whether or not she was emotionally and mentally responding (whether her general level of function was BETTER) during the periods when she was ingesting this compounding.

    There are lots of people with ADHD and other similar mental disorders who have learned by hit-or-miss to "self-medicate" with either pharmaceuticals obtained (so they think) duplicitously or street drugs.

    That doesn't mean they haven't got a diagnosable pathology.

    When she took the drug she could not sit down, had to keep moving, could not sleep... if you do not have ADD, it has the opposite affect as it would on someone with ADD. Mental disorders she had those alright... She needed Benzos but she would abuse them to... So Thorazine and a room in a mental ward would have suited her... She left a huge hunting knife in my side of the bed one day while I was at work... I came home to see this and felt I needed to keep a small toothpick in my eyelids keeping them open while sleeping... rather creepy...
