No, I've never driven 160 km/hour. The fastest you can drive in this state is 110 km/hour and I've got a bit over that but my poor little car could never reach 160 :(

In Germany. We were going well over 100 mph but people were passing us like we were stopped. Also drove over a hundred when I drove through Nevada I think where the road was straight and there was no speed limits. This was just a few years ago. (Like in the sixties or early seventies)

Running up the Grapevine and on toward Oregon there are stretches of miles with no cars anywhere to be seen. Or there were back in the '70's when I opened my blueprinted Datsun 510 up to see what she'd do. Pegged the speedometer. It had a paint job similar to this:

twice....i'm surprised. i have an mercedes e500 sport. that thing rides so smooth where 100 mph is nothing. I though there would be more people who have do it or I need to slow the hell down

Yes, that is the rule of thumb. Go the speed of traffic. When I did it, it was maybe 1am on a practically empty freeway. Cop drove right past me too! O_O

It was. My grandfather paid for driving lessons. Can you imagine my surprise when I found out? One week of training and one week of racing to show what you learned.
