With occasions like Valentine's Day and school graduations coming up, it's no secret that many will celebrate in the form of a drink or two. And while toasting with a glass of wine is typically not a big deal, things get a lot more serious when driving is entered into the equation.

Whether you've been in the car with a driver under the influence or felt a little hesitant driving after a couple drinks yourself, we wanted to gauge your own experiences and opinions about drinking and driving. So let's get to it with this Drinking and Driving Survey. And don't forget to be safe out there, folks.

Yes, I've been in the car with a driver who was under the influence before

When I was 10 years old abroad with friends. I was ill the night we went out for dinner and I was allowed to return to the car and sleep. I was out cold. However the father who was under the influence drove off and left the rest of the family behind not knowing I was in the back seat of the car sleeping with no belt. He crashed into a bus shelter. I flew out and broke almost every bone in my arm, my coller bones and my skull. Glass from the car was embedded throughout my body, one punctured my windpipe and I woke up drowning in my own blood and because of that I never touch alcohol. Just 2 years later I was again almost killed thanks to booze

I DID grow up in the '70s. People were VERY 'whatever happens happens' back then.

No one was worried when I played with lawn darts as a child.

Last time was very long ago, and I was on a motorcycle at a stop sign and just simply tipped over. That was enough.

In the 70s when young and dumb. Worse than that, I got pulled over and officer told me to get home & not do it again. Now I don't drink and would never drink and drive.

No because nobody would dare get me into the car with them if they were drunk, and I wouldn't jeopardize anyone's life like that, either. I have however been a designated driver for someone who was drunk once or twice.

Yes, but only once upon a time... on a country road went straight through a T intersection and ended up in a farmer's field... however no damage and was able to drive away. It could've been worse--so I learned something.

and driven with someone who was under the influence.I know people who have driven most of there adult life under the influence!At one time it was against the law to drive drunk,now its under the influence,there is a difference i assure you!

Once...I realized the person that the person driving me was trashed. I made him pull over in the nearest commuter lot and called someone to pick us up.

I would never drink and drive.. And I'm a bit uncomfortable getting in the car with SOBER people let alone those who have been drinking.

Many years ago prior to the crack downs prior to MADD, prior to severity of punishment by the legal establishment. Did it just once. Drove home and I was drunk. I didn't think I was too bad until I woke up the next morning and found my car parked at a real weird angle in my parking spot. Never did it again.

Yes I have, I don't like to, but I have, I'll leave it at that. And in Wisconsin this vote would be skewed quite a bit, I actually can't name more than five people I know that haven't driven with some form of alcohol in their system.
