I've done it, twice.
It's a great idea if you're thinking of going from long to short hair!
You can donate your hair and avoid the cost of a 'long hair fee' at the salon at the same time!
Ten inches or more, in a ponytail or braid, is required.
They accept colored, permed or gray hair but can not accept bleached hair or dreadlocks.
Hair donated is used to make hairpieces for disadvantaged children who suffer hair-loss due to many types of illness.
Though they do not use the gray hair that is donated, they sell it to offset the costs of producing hairpieces for these deserving children.

+4If i were to grow my hair long enough I totally would...I never grow it passed shoulder length though. I think anyone who does it awesome.

It's the thought that counts so you're awesome for trying. And who knows? Maybe it did make it to Locks of Love. I guess you'll never know for sure but when you mail it yourself, they send a thank you post card. I hope you get to try again, someday.
