    I have purchased items on Ebay, but I have a comment about Ebay to make at this time. Ebay used to be fun - it was a place where ordinary people sold their stuff. I got great original paintings on Ebay for my home for next to nothing. I bought a mink cape - YES, REAL MINk - on Ebay from an individual in California. It was beautifully maintained and in perfect condition. I paid just a bit over $100 for that mink cape. That was fun, and the auction caused a bit of an adrenaline rush. That's when Ebay was fun. Now that all the companies have come in and taken over there are fewer and fewer auctions, higher prices, and it's not fun any more. What was the world's market place is just another mall now - it's just online.

    Of course ! I LOVE Ebay. I used to be on it all the time, buying and selling, but now with 3 kids I don't have a lot of time to spend on it. I've gotten some really cool stuff from there. I got a 4 carat citrine ring, a compound bow, all sorts of stuff. I've even done some selling for other people, but it's a little more trouble than it's worth.

    I've got some true antiques (and odd things) .. so there's times where I'm looking for specific parts .. so I can make repairs. It helps to pinpoint and know what I need ..
    I've found that by being careful .. I can get parts .. and that is fine with me

    Only once and the seller was a total jerk. I inquired when I would receive my package and he went ballistic. Some real weirdos out there.

    I bought a few items and only had one bad exprience with the item arriving broken. Read the warrenties and return policies carefully. It's a good way to shop.

    I haven't bought anything but I do browse from time to time. I did try to sell a bottle of Bushmills Millennium whiskey on eBay once with no success Lorenzo. My sister Diane got a great deal on a rental in New York city for a week. It's sad that companies have muscled in and are making it more commercial. That's the same all over the internet.

    The funny thing about selling liquor on EBay is that trying to sell the actual contents is against their policy, so if you notice all the auctions of that type are for the bottle. And it has to be noted that "contents are not for consumption". So essentially you're bidding on a really cool whiskey (or whatever) bottle, and are presumably going to display it on a shelf and not touch what's inside. Right. I realize they have to cover their ass, but that's just ridiculous.

    Yes all the time. I also sell coins and stamps on eBay. I have had the odd bad experience but for the most part its been good. Most of my sales tend to be set price (Buy It Now) as its so tough to make a profit on eBay as they suck you dry. I also have my own web site so I tend to steer my customers over to that site were I can cut out the middleman.

    ..I live in a small town and some things are hard to find here (and more expensive here, too..) E-bay has changed, though, and not for the better; it used to be an auction site, but now most of it is the "buy it now" that has turned it into a lowbrow Amazon with some very questionable vendors...

    DUE to credit card fraud / buying without seeing qulitative aspect and many issues like delay or wrong dellivery and all that restricts me to buy it from 'ebay'

    Everything you do on Ebay, from opening an account to putting something up for sale, is very easy. Once you start they go step by step snd show you exactly what to do. Give it a try !
