I want to but I'm too scared of what the hypnotist might ask me to do. an hypnotist is coming to my school and I might try there since nobody knows me.
For smoking. It worked, for about 3 months, then darn, I actually had to figure out how to have the will to stop . . . two years later. But I work with therapists who use it effectively every day. Mostly, it allows people to open up to the next step. EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique) is more effective, but I didn't know about it (or more its predecessor) 30 years ago when I quit smoking.
I tried it once to help stop smoking but the hynotherapist told me afterwards that I was not amenable to hypnotherapy... A long wided way to say he couldn't relax me into a suggestive state. I eventually stopped smoking on my own but not until my health was totally screwed.
Some tried, but they did not succeed, as I hate to buy what I do not want.
[snaps out of it]
Huh? Oh, sorry. I was hypnotized.
