I had the same problem too growing up. But I always fought back. Elementary and middle school were the worst times of my life. High school was some what better, but I didn't have a first boyfriend until my Junior year of high school. I did't date much although I did have a crush on several boys in my class. They didn't even know I even existed.

But I survived and later on got married and have children. Life goes on somehow and don't ever let people bother you so much that you feel like killing yourself. If you do that then they have won.

Yeah, thats just part of growing up. I got picked on a lot for being shorter than most of the kids and not very athletic. In seventh grade I found out that I may not have been very good at baseball but I have a high tolerance for pain, I don't show brusies and I was really good at breaking noses. There is only so much a person will put up with before they realize that physical pain is shorter lived.

I've bullied, punched, thrown against walls, threatened, and had rumors spread about me. I really wonder why kids always have to be so mean.

When I was much younger I swore up and down that I hated kids so much that I wouldn't have my own. Well, as time went on I did have children and learned that bullying isn't necessarily caused by kids in general but by what they see, learn , and experience themselves. If they bully when they are young and their parents do nothing to stop it then they continue and they tend to get mean, very mean.

Yes I was. Several times. Both in school and in my former job.
I describe myself as a shy, quiet, timid, soft-spoken person. I noticed that those kind are the ones who get bullied all the time. I don't know why others have a problem with a quiet person. I didn't do anything bad to them. They're just annoyed for a reason only a narrow-minded person finds valid.
And yes, In my job. I used to have this female boss from hell. She's a monster. I did my best at work, but then she makes it worse. She's a micromanager, and she would nitpick every single little bit of thing that I do. I think she hates me, and she's looking for a reason to make my life miserable. Good thing I'm not there anymore. I feel so much better.

As a gay man I have been bullied in the past by homophobic people -- anyone now better LOOK OUT if they even think about bullying me --I'll kick their ass ---into the middle of next week. I think the straight bullies are getting the picture now --that you don't mess with the gay people unless you plan on getting an ass whipping .

No I never have. I alway's stuck up for the one being bullied..It sticks with some people forever and words can hurt. I don't like bullies. I don't know what it is really,but there has to be a problem with people who feel the need to bully.They should get help and find out what it is.

I was sexually abused by a guy in 7th grade in my homeroom class. Every morning he would grab my breasts. I hated it but I didn't know what to do about then (back in 1977)

Yeah, the girls will tell me, 'Oh it's no big deal, just hug him' etc. and then I'll hear from someone else, "I heard you gave ___ a breast rub," "Can you do that for me?"
and they will 'accidentally' bump into me, and touch my boobs. I've been cornered before, but I kicked him in the nuts and ran.

Yea I was small for my age when growing up. The funny thing is, now I would have no problem stomping a mud hole in all of their a$$es. So if you were one of the ones that used to "bully me", you'd better keep an eye out for me.

But I did something kids cant do today I got even with the bullies. One bully I stuck a sharpened pencil in the back of his hand, he left me alone from then on. The others I laughed when they went to jail for drugs,went to rehab and now have worse jobs than I do. Most bullies in my time in school were the "society" people in my class.

But I must admit that I was a bully when I was a kid. I really regret it now. I think it came back to haunt me because my son was bullied and as a parent it angered me and saddened me. I wondered if this was an example of Karma at work - although I should have been the target, rather than my son.

At Catholic School especialy in 5th grade,my teacher wanted to be popular so She went along with it.These boys would call me a derogitory name and when I woul;d call them one back,they would tell on me and she would rip me up one side and down the other in front of GOD and everyone,Humiliating me.But when I would tell her they were bulling me she would tell me "just Ignore them" I got kicked,punched,spit on. I would cry myself to sleep at night begging GOD to let me die. I am sure grateful now that he didn't because he knew it would get better.
She left to have a baby and the teacher that took over would not let that crap happen in her classroom.It became my safe haven.

Of course. It is natural human nature. - Long story short. Jr HS (when else) The teacher left the room. I responded to the event. I was banned from school for a few days because as the teacher returned I was Loudly Demanding a fight Now not after school (per his rationale) while informing him of his status. At that point he was keeping his back to me. - It worked; there was Never a problem Again.

No it's not. No kid should have to deal with this. I already have a life thank you. Some of those bullies who did what they did when I was in school are probably in prison, where they belong. You sound like you might have been one of those bullies since you're standing up for them.
