I've have interesting encounters with other po-po's as well.

I've had more arguments with a 'Cop(s)' than probably anybody else on here /:)

Usually, that never ends well for me.Although, I did fight the law 2 years ago, and I won !

Sometimes a Cop is wrong :: someone has to let them know, so the next time they will be right! : )

But it's usually me that lets THEM off with a warning, and a bill.

I have been pulled over twice when the cop got out of the car and started screaming at me. One for a rolling stop and one for speeding.

The former, I pulled over and he started screaming at me and had his hand on his gun. I finally told him to STFU and write the ticket because the ice cream in my bag of groceries was melting. He was a rentacop tool on the campus I was attending AND he and I were in a night class together at the time. I don't know what was up his rear end. Maybe he thought I had made a pass at his girlfriend or something.

The latter instance, the cop started yelling at me because he thought I had lied to him about having a clean driving record. I had zero points on my license and hadn't had a ticket for over ten years so yeah...I considered my driving record pretty clean at that point. Finally I yelled back and said, "Just so we have this straight, you and I both know the reason I'm getting a ticket today is because you didn't get laid this morning!" He let me off on that one. Go figure.

He and 2 of his ugliest ugliest co workers arrested me at WORK, and tried to verbally EMBARRASS me in front of my supervisor and coworkers. Arrested on a warrant that I knew was coming, and they knew damned well where I lived. Threats and intimidation, but ha joke on them because my boss knew about it before hand.

I did once, I got pulled over for speeding which I knew I was getting a ticket for but then he handed me a seatbelt ticket too which was total crap because I did have it on, my car has automatic seatbelts so I cant drive without it on! But he gave me the ticket because I didnt have the lap belt on too,and I had never been ticketed for that in the past so at first I tried begging my way out of it and promising to start wearing my lap belt, but that got me nowwhere. Then I started to argue that I thought a warning should have sufficed since I did in fact have the shoulder strap on and I didnt see the point in having an automatic belt if I still had to put the other half on to be legal, it wasnt like I was completely unbelted like some people. He just told me to take it up with the judge and he would see me in court. I went to court and tried to plead my case but the judge wouldnt change it to a warning so I had to pay the $100. Live and learn I guess.

Sometimes he tracks his muddy shoes through the house and I yell at him. ; P

I'm not an idiot

I'm a black man so I would rather not get shot 97 times or tazed until I have a heart attack for arguing with a cop. I once got pulled over and the cop that pulled me over walked up to my car with his gun pointed at my face, instructed me to lay down on the ground and handcuffed me. He searched my car, checked my driver's license and registration and found nothing illegal. When he uncuffed me I asked why he pulled me over, his response was " I pulled you over because the side mirror on the passenger side of your car is missing".

Not a rational thing to do. The law is on their side and so is their side arm. Better to tell it to the judge.

A few times, but the one I remember most is when I took my little dog to a beach to run. Both of us were stressed, and needed the 'release'. Long story......

I had the bag in my hand, to pick up after her if needed. No one was around, and she was having a great time just running and playing. A cop pulled up to tell me I couldn't have her there, kind of obnoxiously. I told him to arrest me, because I was much more concerned about the pollution being dumped in our oceans, than some law about my little dog not being allowed to run on the beach.

He was pretty cool, he DIDN'T arrest me. He advised me to never say that to a cop again. : )

I, and a friend who was a former cop, went into a bank so he could open an account with $1500 cash. We were cutting firewood to sell and we went in looking like we had been playing in the woods. (We had been.) I was bored and made faces at the security cameras. We left and went straight to his residence. As we were pulling into the driveway, we were accosted by 3 - 5 deputy sheriffs. They said that the bank called them. We finished our discussion and immediately went back to the bank to close the account. The bank people were incredibly rude and stupid. The bank people didn't like this and evidently called the cops again. We found the same crew in the parking lot. My friend had previously educated me on how far one could push a cop before the cop pushes back. We told the cops in no uncertain terms what we thought of their behavior towards me making faces at their cameras. How, after all, is THAT threatening? The cops started to back up the bank and we then let the cops know that THEY were beginning to sound stupid. After a couple of minutes of this, my friend stepped back, but I didn't shut up. A moment later, he SCREAMED at me, to get my attention and .......THEN I shut up and backed away. I think I was maybe 2 seconds from getting hit and arrested..We asked the cops if there was anything else, if not, we were leaving. They said good day!

It was a bit bizarre!

I never need to argue with the police. My local police serve and protect.

I only argue with a cop in discussions that are to complicated for him to understand, then I go about my business and they usually leave me alone.

Not sure I'd call it an argument? I have however respectfully disagreed with them. For the most part I have received respect in return. Let's remember who they actually work for and that although they enforce the law they are held to it as well!

I did. In my experience, it's not so much arguing that matters. All that matters is knowing when to put hands in the air. lol
