- strawberry 2012/07/23 08:15:20No+1What Abraham Lincoln is saying is very true. Abraham Lincoln however, was an idealist, even more than realistic for his own times. We cannot have a society of too many weak, but we cannot have a society of too many strong, causing too many weak, by using deliberate greedy corrupt tactics to keep them down. We need a society of balance. Of course we need the wealthy, but we need wealthy to give wage earners a fair share. Also Middle Class should not carry higher tax burdens. Class hatred is usually caused by legitimate actions. We cannot destroy the rich, we have to have wealth. The rich should not become a minority, cheating Middle Class workers, labor, to gain more wealth for themselves. We always need labor to run a country. Americans became careless with credit cards spending far more then they earn. Usually on items not a necessity. Capitalism has turned very greedy giving to wealthy, depriving initiative and independence to a larger group. A country must have Socialistic Programs. The problem is when such programs are abused by those who abuse this system.reply
- Flamingolady 2012/07/23 03:12:46No+1No truer words have ever been spoken. I see some people are voting yes, yet saying no truer words have been spoken. Our government today does not understand this, nor do they understand the truth, and it starts with the POTUS. BO does not know truth on any level.reply

- sockpuppet 2012/07/22 16:35:21UndecidedNo idea where this comes from. Meant to hit "no" for starters. Democrats throw money away, while Republicans favor sensible spending... comparatively. We can't afford Dem's anymore.reply

+1Yeah, let's go back to Ancient Greece to hear their thoughts on Democracy, while we're at it. What's relevant today is that the two parties relate differently to the reality of money. We can't afford the one who throws it to the wind.reply -
