Have any of you had an unpleasant experience going through airport security the past 11 years?

I'm glad they finally got the full body scanners since I was sick and tired of being patted down. I have an artifiial knee joint; therefore the walk-through scanner beeps at me suspiciously. I fly several times a year and the pat downs were getting more and more aggressive, and I don't think that is my imagination.

I always felt sorry for my daughter when she came for a visit with the two kids. The young one in a stroller and she had to get him out and pull all the things out of the stroller. His blanket, stuffed animal and sippy cup. Trying to hold on to him while she folded the stoller up because it had to go through the scanner. It is horrible that young families have to put up with such things. Two little carrot top boys and her all of 5 foot tall juggling the kids and everything. It makes you think profiling is not such a bad idea after all.

It's all unpleasant. Even before 9/11 when they only asked you if you packed your own bags, I used to wonder how long it would be before we needed the type of security that the Israelis had. In Arab minds we are all the same because they think we look on Israel as just another state.

Had a security guard flip out over a fancy lighter in Toronto..Screamed at the top of his lungs for me to light it. I shoved it in his face & lit it. He was from the Middle East somewhere

Those scanners are banned in Europe due to radiation concerns.
