............ definitely, a book that should be kept close to Your personal Bible........ so many times I use it, for spiritual reassurance, especially when out among the general public, Christians, but especially helpful after speaking with non christians .........

Yes. The holy Bible. It gives me hope for the future and gives me, in detail, how to get there..

There is a book that had a significant effect on my life. I do not recall the name of it but it is a self help book. Following the death of my second wife I found the need to go to the book store to find a book on grieving. I found however that I could not get past the title of every one of them. Just could not make myself more depressed. I then begin looking for a book that dealt with making your life better. I thought that perhaps a positive book would help get me through it. The book I found did the trick and soon begin feeling much better.

After some time I begin looking for a friend and ended up meeting the woman who is now my wife. From the start she captivated me and our first meeting was great. Our first official date however did not go so well. We went to a movie and then out to eat. The whole evening I had the feeling she was pulling back and it made me very uncomfortable. We found it more difficult to talk for some reason and by the time we left the restaurant I was very confused. Because of that I made two major mistakes. I failed to open her car door and when we got back to her place I was so nervous about going into her house for the first time we simply said goodbye and I failed to walk her to the door.

Her email beat me home and she said she didn't think we were meant for each other.
I could not explain how I felt about that and finally sent an email back to her falling all over myself saying I was sorry. But just as I was about to send it off I remembered that book.
I could not believe what I was doing. Because of that book I re-wrote that email simply explaining what happened and ended it with the following sentence.
"So now all you have to do is hit reply and say yes XXXX I will go out with you again!"

The next morning I found her email and that is exactly what she said. I almost kissed that book and we ended up married.

Your story made me get teary eyed....my heart has always gone out to you for losing your wife but then again....finding your current wife.....what a story. You just keep blowing me away with your life stories. I am so happy for you that you have someone that you love so much in your life. When I read what you write, I wish all men could be just like you. So giving, so loving, so caring, so open....you simply amaze me. Thanks for making my day with your beautiful story. :)

Thank you again my sweet friend. I have a confession to make. A major reason I have opened up like this and tell my story is because I hope that you will read it. Your complements are so good for my soul and they mean so much to me. Thank you so much for your sweet words.

I am all that I seem but of course I have my faults too. Who doesn't. But I like to think that I am what you seem to see in me and it means so much to me to hear this from you.
I am so glad that this made your day. I am happy that you took it that way. :) You are a very special lady and I am so glad we are friends.

Well, that is wonderful! I am so happy to hear about your life and learn more about you. You are a very interesting person....Your compliments to me are good for my soul as well. You always treat me with kindness and compassion and I truly appreciate that. Of course, we all have our faults....but what means the most to me is that you are so open and share your feelings. Many men don't do that and I find that inspiring. I am also very glad that we are good friends. You bring so much to this site! I look forward to everything you answer! You are a wonderful person. Thanks so much for being my friend!!! :)

Interesting how you put that Shawna, its pretty much what I took away from the reading. That and the sense that Mr. Cutler injected too much of himself into the book.

His Holiness is quite an interesting person and seems able to project an aura in a way unlike anyone else I can think of. Have you ever had the opportunity to hear him speak in person?

I saw/heard him in Vancouver several years ago. It was quite an experience. I have also read a few of his books.

yes 1984, brave new world to name a couple. 1984 is especially relevant today as our mass media is taken over by a couple of corporate monsters. We no longer have a relevant press. Just propaganda and fluff.
