Yes. That's why I now have a cat. I am so bad at relationships that I figured I should go down the evolutionary ladder a few wrungs, and maybe work my way back up.
Disappointed me? Nope. Changed me for the better? Certainly yes. Made me a better person? I definitely think so. Made me frustrated at the vast distance between me and the one I love every-damned-day? Oh yes.
Love is a wonderful blessing in life but it is also a source of incredible pain. My wife died after a couple of decades of living together. After having been faithful to her for those years, I never loved her more than the day she died. Needless to say, her death brought me extreme pain but I would do it all again in a moment because what would have been even sadder would be to have never met Rose or worse yet, not missing her after her death.
Since her death, I have had several affairs and each has been wonderful. The end of each of these relationships was painful in its own way but nothing comparable to losing Rose. ... but given a chance, I will love again...for it is better to have loved and lost than never to have loved at all.
I will admit, however, that I am more protective of my heart now than the first few years after Rose' death. I would like to think that is wisdom but it may be fear.
Not the experience whilst it was going on but every time I have been in love it has ended with me getting shat upon from a very great height (I am speaking figuratively here lol)
yes and no I've been married to a wonderful man for 36 years but I was married before for 2 years in my teenage years so I believe most of us have had a little disappoint in love some time in our lives
Yes Dianna, yes! I have had my shares of ups and downs in the love dept. Its apart of life most daters go through before marrying. All of the man that have burned me have or are going through, KARMA.
Heres the karma One person is suffering what I suffered when we were together.
1. He has to walk in all kinds of weather. His CAR broke down he and never got another car!!! He did not provide my with rides in the last few years of the friendship... I had no car, but I knew how to drive....
2. lonely and alone. The way I felt and he thought it was funny. He would say" YOUWANT TO BE SOMEONES LADY."
3. No lady, date, or wife. a). I was involved in a uncommited relationship (friends), he wanted to keep it a one on one. b).I was told this; I can have something going on right under your nose and you wil no notheing abvout it. c).I had 3 things under his nose, he knew nothing about, until I told him, its time to quit."
4. Goes to sleep and wakes up alone.
I saw him at standing at the bus stop one day and I kept going. It was a rainy day!! My hubbie and I pass him by and offer no ride. My hubby says' thats what he gets."
