Has anyone ever told you that you need to lose weight?

But they've noticed that I have lost weight.

Just the opposite, my Mom tells me I am to skinny...lol

All the time. Given, I am rather large, but the last person to do so what a doctor that told me I was going to drop dead of a heart attack based simply because I was breathing hard. At the time, I had just finished the physical portion of the DOT testing, and had to walk up and down the hallway to a scale that actually could weigh me. He based the concept of a heart attack, not on any internal indicatiors (such as prior history, family history, or other evidence) but on they fact that I used a cane and was breathing hard. And that I am a woman. When relaying the story to others at my work, they indicated that he had said the same to them, each one thinner than me by more than half. But never to a man, who has health issues and is larger than me. Funny how that happens.

And I probably could drop a few, but really I love my self no matter my weight, and I don't mind having a figure.

my dad said to me "dont drop the baby in the fire" when i patted my belly while standing next to an open fire pit, and continued to say "and i can say that cause i know your not actually pregnant". later he tried to brush it off as referring to me as the baby. its a good thing i already know im at a healthy bmi, or i might actually be offended.

My family told me from the age of 7 that I needed to lose weight. I have never been overweight, and now I suffer from anorexia nervosa (apparently) but now, now I'm fat. Must've been all that binge-eating.

That's so sad that your family produced that, because having your family support you is a great help to recover from anorexia. I hope you get better.

yeah in the past which i became anorexic and now everybody is mad.... people are never satisfied

My Doctor on a constant basis....if I came in with compound fracture of my arm he would say it's due to my weight.....i finally asked him 'Doc, what do you tell skinny people, when they see you?'

And what did he say?

nothing he was non plussed to say the least

Yeah, it's the main reason I'm always concerned about my weight and size now. But, now people tell I should gain weight.

People feel it is okay to tell me this even if they are perfect strangers. But those who know and love me say I am just right.

Routinely, never a doctor though. All my vitals are fine. I usually reply and ask them if they have anything else to talk about. (i.e. something intelligent) . They always ask me to move stuff, though. I'm 5' 10" and down to 229. A real bull

No, but I remember the glorious days when they used to tell me I was too skinny. Sigh...

Myself. I need to lose a lot of weight. And I've lost 30 or so lbs since starting weigh watchers! Yea! Only like 80 more to lose. LOL
