Has anyone ever threatened you?

Police and a boss in a corporation.

As a cop you get threatened so many times you soon learn to ignore most of them.

I understand. It´s horrible how many people in our ´civilized´ society are aggressive.

I am concerned! I made a mistake by agreeing to go out with him.It was a secret.My mom-dad didn't know about him.Now,I feel guilty and worthless!

Don't be hard on yourself. Is he a serious threat? Your safety is more important than your secret.

Good...not that you are a coward, that he is not a physical threat. This is just advice. if you stand up for yourself once, it's empowering, and the next time(s) will be much easier.

It's a long story; let's just say I shut him down and got him fired. You don't threaten young ladies with a gun.

That is totally wrong. I don't threaten anybody I just do it. I learned many years ago that most threats are idle BS. Besides onyone threatens me nowadays had better take a close look at that bulge on my right hip, That aint no water pistol!.

typical insecure person's tactic to try and feel like they have power of you and make themself feel better about themself. It's rather sad and pathetic though when you actually look at it. Keep your head up and move on with your life and be the better person

Threats, are just words and can be discarded unless they are followed up with real violence. Remember, he you assaults your ears with verbal violence is more afraid of a physical outcome than you are. The one who screams and rants about what he is going to do to you, won't follow it through or he would have already hit you.

No problem with threats; its like a dog growling, I have had dogs and have two right now...When they growl, it means that they are hungry or just not content with what they are eating... You can fix that very easily... Human threats are not nice... A bag of chips would not resolve such mannerisms and so each situation must be handled with loving care; sending them to the emergency room is not nice and neither to the morgue, to the dental office maybe, all depends on the threat level and with what level the threat needs engaging if any... Soft answers are nice and quick to forgive is good too, both ways; but any kind of bodily harm to family, then gators and sharks gotta eat! Plain and simple! Threats to self are ignored... woof woof!

Lots of times. Usually, it was just a threat. How you handle a threat can sometimes determine if the person will follow through on their threat or not.

It is the nature of my job to receive threats. One time, a guy called and ask me to watch out. When I told him that I don't like being threaten, he sheepishly apologized and said he didn't mean it.

Yes. Husband verbally then physicaly. He we went to jail over night because I didn't want to press charges, although by state law he was. He got a fine and 6 months probation. We have separated four times since then. I'm just trying to hold onto a 27 yr. relationship. No serious problems since then, but things will never be the same.

Once trust is broken, it's very hard to regain.

I used to get threatened all the time back when I had a mohawk, You have to learn how to fight pretty quick that way.
