Harvey Weinstein, a prominent film producer, called for a filmmaker summit on violence in movies after the Colorado shooting. Is there too much violence in movies now? And is Hollywood to blame?

HOLLYWOODREPORTER.COM reports:

2. You forgot the comma and period.
3. You didn't use quotations.
And I know I didn't spell "violence" correct but Sodahead is so laggy I didn't bother.
Therefore, Government is to blame for violence.
However, it is up to us to choose what we view and how we act.
Banning guns won't fix anything. Banning violent movies won't fix anything. People choosing to be responsible for their own safety and support is a great start.
But is it fair to ask, what influenced John Holmes to dress up like the Joker and commit a Joker type crime more, guns or Hollywood movies?
It is not just a game, it is a tool for teaching, and violence is what is being learned.
Now.. they get to sit in time out.
Vote with your money. If it's too violent, don't go see it! There's plenty of previews and marketing these days to let someone make a choice on how violent it is.
Just setting the record straight and defending those poor little picked-on people in Hollywood.
"Is Hollywood to blame for the violence?"
Maybe putting 6 million kids on Ritalin and other psychodrugs, putting 110,000 deployed combat soldiers on psychotropics and all the 'Prozac, Zoloft, Paxil users are where things have gone wrong.
Or a maniac with a "saw"
Remember: These are the same people who ACTUALLY believed it was Sarah Palin who said she could see Russia from her house (even though it was an SNL skit with Tina Fey).
I can only speak for myself. I happen to love horror films, violent, bloody, gory, etc... and I am a completely non-violent person who does not own a gun. Violent people are not created by violent movies.
Agree?
In my imaginary perfect world there would be a ban on all firearms and it would work to rid us of guns. But that is not realistic. (or constitutional).
