Kwanzaa, Festivus, Hanukkah, Eid, Christmas, Solstice, New Year, whatever. Wish me a happy one, and I'll wish you one. Say "Happy holidays," and I'll just figure you didn't want to try to guess which one was my favorite, and included them all. I don't care what you celebrate, or what you say. There's no threat to me (an atheist) in any of it, and no threat to Christians (regardless of their seeming need to feel persecuted) if you don't specify their holiday.

Besides, if Christians were really worried about the birthday of Christ, they'd celebrate it in the late spring, when it would have actually taken place, instead of near the winter solstice, when everyone else was already celebrating.

I say both. It usually just depends on who I'm speaking to.

Christmas is a stolen Pagan holiday anyway, it isn't when Christ was born.

Happy Holidays not for the PC BS reasons... but to be all inclusive of Christmas and New Years and Kwanzaa and whatever else...

It's holidays season for everyone, but I wouldn't be offended if anyone wished me a merry christmas, it's just they're way of saying "happy holidays" and there's nothing wrong with that. Happy Hanuka to everybody!

I say Mery Christmas and you know what, people say it back. It's such a small percentage of people that are offended by it. Most Atheists I know could'nt really care less if someone wishes them a Merry Christmas, most of them celebrate it in some form. I don't get upset if someone says Happy Hanukah, Happy Kwanza, whatever I would just wish them the same in return.

I personally prefer Merry Christmas, but I am no longer naive to think that people WON'T get insulted at that phrase.

If I know if someone is Christian, then I say Merry Christmas. If I am unsure or know they are not, I say Happy Holidays. I use them both a lot.
