Gwyneth Paltrow is normally heralded as a queen fashionista (remember her white Oscar cape?) so her latest sartorial choice is a little, er, mysterious. The 39-year-old actress was photographed in Santa Monica, Calif., wearing burgundy moccasins embroidered with gold, blue and black thread that created an Aztec design. Gwyneth Paltrow also paired the strange shoes with short shorts and a floral blouse... a pretty odd choice, if we say so ourselves.

Paltrow was definitely going for the comfy, casual look: she had her hair pulled back, and didn't appear to be wearing any makeup under her dark sunglasses. Fashion miss? We think so.

Gwynnie also caused a stir this week when she and Coldplay frontman husband Chris Martin reportedly demanded to be driven 0.06 miles from the Stella McCartney store to a restaurant, even as other stars, including Orlando Bloom, Miranda Kerr and Jane Fonda, walked. So ... are Gwyneth's moccasins made for walking? Or not?

Good grief! She's not dressing for a Grand Ball or a Red Carpet Event. She's just out and about and dressing comfortably. Actors don't have to glam up every time they go to the damn supermarket. Get over it, people!

This is a fashion section, and last time I checked, fashion is a pain. If it's hot and you want to wear a leather jacket because it goes beautifully with your outfit, that's fashion. If it is winter and you want to wear something that does not consist of long-sleeves, a jacket, or boots, that's fashion. It's not about what the circumstances are or how the weather is, it is about how bad ass you look. So I am going to say this is a tragic miss on her part, but I am a lover of fashionable things while still being comfy. However, when you live the life as an a-list celebrity, comfortable is just not in your vocabulary. And those moccasins are ugly if you ask me. But that's just me. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion in this world we live in.

We're talking about Gwyneth and her shoes, I'm just sticking up for her right to wear what she whats! What is she supose to do go aroung in heels, diamonds and evening gowns 24-7.
